According to sources, the hanging body of Trisha Saha (25) was recovered on Monday from a flat in a residential complex in Chandiberia. Police broke down the locked door to enter the premises and retrieve the body.
Trisha’s live-in partner, Souvik Roy, was also found bleeding in the same flat. He has been taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
Local sources indicate that Trisha and Souvik had been living together in this flat for the past four months. They had reportedly rented the apartment identifying themselves as a live-in couple.
Newtown Police have arrived at the scene with a forensic team and commenced an investigation. Preliminary speculation suggests the incident may have stemmed from a dispute or domestic discord between the two.
However, the exact cause of death remains unclear. Authorities are examining whether there are any external injury marks on Trisha’s body. The cause of death will be confirmed once the post-mortem report is available.
