Alakesh Maity,11 July, New Delhi: A holiday trip has turned into a major crisis. On Saturday, a boat carrying 32 Indian tourists capsized in the sea near Vietnam’s Phu Quoc Island. The Indian Embassy and local administration swung into action immediately upon receiving news of the accident.
The Indian Embassy in Vietnam posted on X (formerly Twitter) stating that a boat carrying Indian tourists capsized near Phu Quoc Island a few hours ago.
The Embassy stated, “In a tragic incident, a boat carrying Indian tourists capsized near Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam, a few hours ago. Search and rescue operations are currently underway. Details regarding the incident are being gathered.”
According to various media reports, there were a total of 32 Indian tourists on board the boat.
