Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi Receives a Royal Welcome in New Zealand with the Maori ‘Haka’ Dance

Members of the Maori tribe, dressed in traditional attire, gathered to welcome Modi at an official New Zealand event. The ‘Haka’ performance began amidst the sounds of drums, conch shells, and resounding chants.

With its distinctive facial expressions, eye movements, chest-beating, and synchronized roaring, the Haka stands as the most prestigious Maori custom for honoring guests. Prime Minister Modi acknowledged this welcome with folded hands.
